Monday Night League
For Beginner & Novice Players
The Monday Night League meets each Monday (except major Holidays) from September through April. It provides an opportunity for beginners and novice players to compete with others of similar abilities. Teams of 4 players are formed in September and early October to compete in Single, Double, and Team competition. All 4 team members contribute to the success of the team as a whole. Where necessary, a handicap is applied to a team to adjust for the ability of one or more of the players on the team. In another words, every team has a chance to win! Several rounds are played during this period with the winners in each event for each round earning a spot in the play-offs held at the end of April. Trophies are awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners in Single, Double and Team categories.
Southern New England League
For Advanced Players
This league is similar to the Monday Night League but is designed for advanced players. In fact, many of these players actually started in the Monday Night League! The level of competition is higher and is also run October through April. This league plays Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, although most times each team will meet only 1 time per week. This League is made up of 2 players per team. This League uses rating points from which handicaps are determined and applied to individual and team standings. Like the Monday Night League, every Team has a chance to win! Rating points for this league usually start around 1300.
